Children taking advantage of their parents
A five year old kid hitting his dad and the dad feeling vulnerable about it... is one of the most heartbreaking scenes I captured yesterday. I watched them, but my eyes were on the kid. The kid was watching me and felt embarrassed. Only if I could just pull that kid aside and give that look in the eye about what he/she was doing was unacceptable would've done justice to the parent. I just can't get it out of my head right now. That kid was being unfair to the parent. Watching the kid hitting his father was absolutely heart breaking for me.
It's not okay to be completely vulnerable to kids otherwise they'll learn to take you for granted. Sometimes it is okay for parents to have an upperhand. Frankly speaking, I looked at the kid and just knew what he/she was going to turn into. I felt bad. I've seen kids like him/her turning into someone most parents regret. Serious talk is definitely vital. Though, be available and calm not violent. It's okay to help them learn to compromise. They must learn it's okay to not have everything.
Most people might say well, he's a kid. Well, let me tell you something. The look I saw in the dad's face would've made you pitty him as well. He felt helpless. He's actually a very nice man, but I honestly don't understand their parenting. It seems painful.
A smacked **..
No... the kid is very argumentative.
I don't care and we have five children and I'd have brought him or her some place and spanked their bare **. Had too spank our nine year old daughter at mall yesterday in lady's room at mall...
