One day I kissed my best friend, we've been closer than sisters
When I was in the 8th grade my father was stationed in South America in the Embassy. I went to a party for another girl's birthday, after cake and ice cream several kids played spin the bottle. A kiss was my challenge, instead of kissing a boy I kissed my best friend girl.
From then till now I have been labeled gay, a lesbian, you name it. My friend got away completely even though that night she admitted that if she had to be kissed she was happy I did it and not some boy.
We are older, wiser, married. She came to college with me and we renewed our special friendship, and a kiss or hug or both has been part of our lives. From that night when I was 15 until now we are best friends, closer than sisters.
