I don't feel like eating anymore.

For the past several weeks, I started to get tired of eating certain foods; i.e. mashed potatoes, spaghetti, rigatoni, etc. Now, I just don't feel like eating anything at all. I swear I'm not overweight and I have no eating disorder but this is seriously bothering me. Now, every time I look for something I actually like to eat, I'll either just put it back or just eat it to make room in the pantry for any food my dad buys. I'm actually scared that one day I might stop eating altogether.

    • So I've been through this, when I went through a vegetarian/vegan phase and associated food with harm and all sorts of negative things. I will say, any time you have an unhealthy relationship with food like this, it IS an eating disorder. I went on for two years barely eating every few days, and lost over half my body weight to where I ended up underweight and looked at myself in the mirror and could see my individual ribs.

But! Noticing and realizing that it's an unhealthy relationship with food is a great first step to repairing that relationship. Hopefully you've noticed it far, far before I did. I went to see a doctor and voiced my concerns and they immediately sought to get me nourished again, and back on track to a healthier and happier, and longer, life.

Your food is what becomes YOU. You eat, and you body takes what you eat, and turns it into -you-. You should love and appreciate your food, as you should love and appreciate yourself. I hope this helps you turn things around, and sooner rather than later. In my situation, I had neglected myself for so long that I created long lasting issues that I'm still working on, but hey! A day at a time, and so far, I've gotten to slightly above underweight with slow but healthy weight gain and am living a much healthier, and happier, life for it.
