Haven’t told
I am waiting on results of some test but it looks like I have a critical heath issue. I haven’t told my wife or kids yet. I don’t want to worry them in case it’s negative. I don’t think I’m going to tell them either way. Is that wrong of me?
Repent end is near.
Telling a fictional character I’m sorry isn’t going change anything!
Honest opinion. Your wife (if you do have an illness) deserves to know. His way if the worst does happen, she doesn’t just wake up to find you dying/dead, and not have a reason why, or anything to tell the kids besides she doesn’t know until the death report comes back.
Believe me, my mother found out she had brain, lung, liver and spinal cancer all in one month and didn’t tell myself or my sisters. She told us she had cancer but was going to fight, fight she did but had we had known she was as sick as she was, we would’ve spent way more time together.
Do not keep this from those important to you. If the worst happens your family will hold it against you.
I am truly sorry for your loss. I had to watch a parent take their last breath and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I mean no disrespect with this question; why did you need know she wasn’t going to make to spend more time? We never know when our time is up. Why wait?
