When The American Red Cross fired me I quit donating my blood

I'm type O neg and the loss of my blood donation hurt them a bit. I started donating to LifeSouth which uses the blood to help children. The ** that fired me tried to have where I couldn't collect unemployment but a trip to the labor board fixed that. I collected said benefits till they ran out.
