Despite having three handicaps I tried to work
I have asthma, spinal scholiosis, and a short term memory problem. I could have gotten benefits but I chose instead to try to hold down a ob. I held down one job for ten years and I would have worked there longer had the company not moved the work to two different places, I worked for another company for ten years until they lost business and I got caught up in a massive layoff. I worked another job for six years but due to a merger I was laid off from that one too.
I have been fired six times for not being able to master my new job. I could have learned to do at least one job but they lacked the patience.
Social Security and inherited money and a few annuities mean if I live frugally I can stay retired. I can't work anymore anyway because I'm nearly 80 years old.
I didn't ask for any of this horrible situation. Condemn me if you want to.
