TV Preacher exaggerating things
There was a teacher who allegedly asked her classroom to write a paper on how the Universe was formed.
One gave a scientific explanation and some of them wrote the Genesis account.
The teacher allegedly gave the students who explained how it happened scientifically an A and the students who had quoted Genesis got a B.
I don't believe this story. I think the TV minister made it up.
First of all Scientists only have certain theories as to how our Universe came about so a Grammar school student could not possibly have the information that scientists themselves don't have.
Secondly if this was a science class why did the student quote the unscientific bible?
Actually the Genesis account of creation kinda sort follows what science says. The "let there be light" is what would have happened when the pea sized Universe exploded.
Scientists can't explain where the pea sized Universe came from and that was the real beginning of our Universe.
I don't believe in God myself but if some kids wnat to claim that the Genesis account is right so be it. Let them.
If this actually happened I think the teacher was ill advised to pose the question in the first place.

In the land of the "FREE" it is your right to believe ...or not to believe... with equal validation.
There should be separation between church and state... unless churches are willing to forego their tax exemption.
Your average American goes to church just to be seen by their neighbors. Their behavior between Sunday visits prove that they leave church as empty as they arrive.
Consider how many church going "Good Christians" follow, post and ** to the contents of this site :)
