Her pregnancy

I once told a woman in labor that I hoped her baby died.

I was newly married, young, and the baby was my husband's...I had just found out he had been cheating on me.

The words just left my mouth.

That was 20 years ago.

He never even knew the child's name.

We divorced years ago. (Not immediately...but a while.)

He died recently.

There is no apologizing for what I said now.

  • I don't get it ? You told a woman who was in labor you hope the baby dies ?
Why would you tell a random woman you didn't know that you hope her baby dies , are you a nurse or something ?
You must of known her , there is more to the story then this ... I can see you saying this if your a nurse and you saw this woman who cheated on your husband and you made that comet , that would make since

But whatever the case is clearly you didn't know the baby was really going to die . We all say things we regret live and learn .

  • Forgive yourself. You were in pain, and you were angry, and I know you didn't mean it. I know that because having the baby die would have made your life WORSE, not better. You are a human being, like all the rest of us, and as much as we'd like to, we do not live lives of perfection . . . or anything near it. Let that unfortunate episode remain in the past.

  • Shame on you but the past is the past. Words once said can never be unsaid. I'm sure you didn't mean it.
