Starting to hate my business, doing shortcuts whenever possible

Unlike most "confessions" on here that are completely fake, this one is genuine: I've had my own business for several years, and, am not only tired of doing it, but, when do a job, am onsite as little time as possible, and rely heavily on photos I take (I work with property damage), and do most work in my home office.

What's worse is that, even some days that I'm home and working on a job, all I can think of is...Where can I go for lunch, do I have any out and about to do, I wonder what's on tv this afternoon... Sometimes, it's anything to not work on the business. I do other work things as well, and, am fine with those.. It's just the damage business that I'm getting, apparently, way tired of. I know the clients may suffer, but, part of me doesn't give two craps. They're getting paid by the insurance company anyway.

  • Now watch. The fools think that because you posted your confession of being worthless at your job, you seek advice, most of which is worthless as well. That stated, you'd do well not to procreate & pass on your disabled genes.

  • Look, a******..Not saying I haven't done very well with it or don't have a string of regular clients; I have both, and am paid well for what I do. Just saying I'm getting tired of it, want to move in another direction, but right now, because of the dollars involved, it's difficult. If making a nice amount of money is a problem, I'm guessing you are problem-free.

  • Hire someone else to do it part-time, for now, then spend your time getting more business to cover the cost of doing that.

  • I've had part-timers or occasional employees every so often, but, by the time I train someone, trust them, and have work for them, it's just as well to do everything myself. Had a very good female friend, who's also in a similar-type business, helping me, but she ended up being more cost than help most of the time. People just don't want to work anymore. I get the young ones who say, yeah, man, I'll work for you...Then are lazy and stupid as s***. Better off doing it all myself.
