If I knew you would go through what you have gone through these last years with that girl, I would have never left for another country but instead tried to make things work between us. It pains me to know that she hurt you so bad that you feel like you cannot love again.
I really think we would have been great together but we were both never brave enough to take the first step, perhaps due to our immaturity and the lack of courage.
When we reconnected, it's like we just picked up where we left off and nothings changed between us. We still laugh about the same things and tease each other equally. But except now our circumstances ARE different...
I'm sorry I wasn't brave enough to take the leap of faith for you all this years ago. But If I could turn back time, I'd choose you this time. Even if we ended up not working out, at least I'll know that we tried.
And I won't be left with all these what ifs in my head now.
