Can't stand my coworker whenever he comments on customer purchase

There's a guy I work with, Frank, (real name) who is a cashier where I work and almost every day, without fail, if a customer buys a certain item, he'll either give them certain information on it or tell a customer they should have bought another product instead. Ex. 1. A customer will buy parchment paper for baking. Frank: Do you know why it's called parchment paper? Customer: No, I don't. Frank: Let me give you a little history lesson. Frank then proceeds to tell people that the Declaration Of Independence was written on parchment paper and something else I can't quite make out. My thoughts are "Oh, will you shut the ** up?" 2. A customer buys a York Peppermint Patty. Frank: You know, if you put these in the freezer for an hour, then when you eat them they tastes so good. Me thinking, "Who freaking cares?" 3. A customer buys a fruit drink. Frank: Oh, you shouldn't buy this. You should buy (other product) it tastes much better." Me again thinking, "Who cares what tastes better and what doesn't? I sure as ** don't. If I never worked at that job at all but was just a customer, here's how the conversation between me and him would go. 1. Frank: Do you know why it's called parchment paper? Me: No, I don't. Frank: Let me give you a little history lesson. Me: And I don't ** care? Frank: Excuse me? Me: I said I don't ** care why it's called parchment paper. I didn't come here for a ** history lesson. I came here to shop. 2. Frank: You know, if you put these (York Peppermint Patty) in the freezer for an hour, then when you eat them they taste so good. Me: Sir, I really don't ** care what you do with them but, since I'm paying for them I'll eat them my way. 3. Frank: Oh, you shouldn't buy this. You should buy (other product) it tastes much better. Me: Mister, I'll buy whatever the ** I want, ok? I don't care which certain foods and/or drinks tastes better. Since I'm buying them, it's no concern to me how they ** taste, ok? Honestly, I wish that Frank would just shut up instead of telling customers historical facts, what to do with whatever they purchase or what they should be purchasing because I really am close to one day telling him off.

  • I had a waitress tell us that we had to say Black Lives Matter before she would serve us. My friend asked what if we don't. She said she would make a scene and accuse us of calling her a racial slur.

  • Next time you go out to eat, take a black friend with you. She can't falsely say you called her a racial slur if you have soneone the same ethnicity as her.

  • I stopped shopping at a small local 'mom and pop' market because they hired a young girl that did that. She was a little arrogant 'know it all' and would make comments on everything I would purchase. The second and btw the LAST time I shopped there, I was purchasing fresh beets and she said, "EWW!! I don't like beets!" I snapped and said, "I'm not buying them for YOU"

  • Damm, omg that's annoying! I hate when people tell others what to do!!

  • It isn't so much that he was telling customers what to do. More so that he just kept telling almost every customer who comes through his line the same ** thing over and over again without even thinking that maybe the customers don't really want to hear it. I can actually tell because they usually speak in a tone that's along the lines of, "I don't care I'm only pretending to. I'm just pretending to care to be nice."
