Witnessed how a fur farm operates
It was ** up when I saw the operation. Rabbits reproduce faster than any other animal on the planet. After the last Ice age it only took five or six years for the population to reach into the billions. After 15 years, a "land-ocean” of rabbits fills to one-kilometer depth across all of Earth’s continents. Spain was named after Rabbits because of the large number rabbits in and around that land. When ancient astronauts arrived into low orbit and viewed the surface from the space ship they said the land appeared to shape shift. It was millions of rabbits dotting the vegetation rich surface. It was a time when predators were far few and between.
They said the land appeared to shape shift for a time and then it stood still. The rabbits retreated into dens they dug into the ground. The shadow of the ship crossing the path of the sun confused them. When they reappeared the stood on there hind legs and immediately looked up to the sky. A habit that rabbits and other small animals continue to do in present day. When the European settlers moved west across America the Rabbits were a nuisance eating the crops so they put fences up. The rabbits quickly defeated the fence by digging under it. The fence was useless. The settlers tried everything from traps to poisons. The final poison was some kind of reproductive inhibitor that made the rabbits unable to reproduce. At a fur farm in China a man as the job to grab a rabbit from the holding pen. He grabs the first rabbit and uses an air gun that does not shoot a projectile it uses a hammer like cylinder to shoot the rabbit in the head. Immediate stuns it with brain death. He hangs it upside down on a line. The heart is still beating while the animal is skinned. This is a common technique used in most live stock. He grabs the second rabbit and does the same thing. When he goes for the third rabbit that rabbit bucks because it has seen what happened already. A loss of the element of surprise. I would think by now they have come up with a way for the other rabbits not to see what as happened to the rabbits in front of them. It is incredible the numbers that are raised for fur. I was shocked I was further shocked at how snakes were killed for the snake skin. The snake is actually inflated with air from an air compressor. The snake blows up like an inflatable thing used in swimming pools. They blow it up like a long balloon. I did not complete further study of why that was done. People should stop buying animal fur and stand up for an end to Fur Farms.
