The Universe and medical community are giving my dad a runaround.
My Dad has cancer and whenever he needs to go to an appointment, he has to take one of those long metal oxygen tanks with him. My dad has been trying to get a portable oxygen concentrator because to me and him both, getting around would be much easier without me needing to wheel the tank behind him. He's been talking to different medical facilities but they haven't done anything to help my dad. I bought a portable oxygen concentrator on Amazon but, when it arrived, it clearly wasn't the kind of portable that I expected. Oh, it's portable alright. Just unplug it, take it to another room and then plug it back in. Apparently, this concentrator can't be used while going anywhere outside of the house. A few weeks ago, someone called my dad and he was told to go to the hospital for a blood transfusion. He needs one every so often but, when he got there, he was told nobody had scheduled him for a blood transfusion. I was informed by someone while still at the hospital that my dad had been a "No call, no show" on all of his appointments but he has gone to all of them. Instead, my dad was told that he had to get a blood transfusion at another hospital. That's what gets me and my dad mad. He was already at the local hospital so he could have just had the transfusion there but, since he wasn't scheduled for one, they wouldn't give it to him. I have to take him to the other hospital today and I hope he gets the transfusion because right now, me and my dad are getting annoyed at all the back and forth stuff.
