Church and Religion

I went to a Catholic boarding school, so Mass was a must. After school, i stopped going to Church/Mass because I wanted a change in lifestyle. Don't get me wrong. I was and still am religious. I just don't think Church is needed in religion.

People use faith and God as a crutch, and completely bypass the fact that they're "impure" whether they like it or not. We all sin, lie, cheat, and steal. It's time to start admitting it and fixing it on our own, than relying on someone who probably thinks the same way.

Bible-thumpers, higher-than-thou Christians/Catholics/Protestants, and people who shove their beliefs in your face, are the reason why others would rather have no religion at all. Stop making religious people look bad. If you're gay, you're gay. If you don't believe in God, that's fine. I'm not going to crucify you because you live differently than me.

  • When me and my sister were 15,our parents and us joined the local catholic parish in our town.We had to be baptized first and it was quite different and embarrassing!Sis and i had to wear a white, short sleeve, knee length, infant style gown with a matching bonnet, white tights, white mary jane shoes and under our gowns we had to wear a white tee shirt with a cloth diaper and plastic pants under our tights! Our parents ordered our gowns and bonnets thru the parish, and we had to get the tee shirts, diaper, plastic pants, tights and shoes. That sunday morning,we were dress in the outfits and it was somewhat embarrassing walking up to the baptismal font dressed as babies! We then both made our First Holy Communion a year later at 16 with the class of the 2nd graders and sis and i had to wear the poofy, sleeveless, top of the knees communion dress and veil with a white teddy as our top and our baptism diaper, plastic pants and tights and the white mary jane shoes. We both looked like the little girls in our class! We were then confirmed two years later at 18 and lasted only two years as members. We quit the parish and a while later joined a Lutheran church which we liked and are still members of.
