I'd like to think that I've become a very dear friend of Karen and we are broad-minded about the things we allow our kids to do. There are some boundaries I place on Ren and Lilly but I have to remind them they're only 13 despite them saying "they are not f ucking babies". I will not allow them to be driven home from parties by boys as these boys may have had a skinful of booze and drugs. Instead I insist that I'll meet them at the gate at 2am and drive them home.

This other girl will be 8 before Chloe is 7 as Chloe only celebrated her 6th birthday last February. This girl came to our place last Saturday with her mum and the little girl went into the backyard while Ren and Chloe were there smoking. The little girl came in and said to her mum "Mummy Chloe's smoking. I was unable to deny it seen as though Chloe was caught red handed but I couldn't give a f uck. It turned out for the better because the 8 year old, Penny is now allowed to smoke. Ren is teaching her but the funniest thing is Chloe is teaching her to smoke as well. It will take a bit of doing and practice because Penny hasn't got the knack of inhaling yet.

We're lucky in that all of our kids have at least a couple of friends each that smoke. It's funny that we live in a part of the US known as the f ucking "Bible belt" but it's also within a general area of the country where smoking is the most prevalent. It's odd that's Penny's mum appeared to be horrified when she heard Chloe smokes then made a snide remark. Then in the next breath she mentioned she wants Penny to smoke.
